The Cambrian Lightweight Saddlebag has been designed to meet the needs of the bikepacker, fast tourer, Audax or Randonneur rider and is a smaller version of our popular Odyssey XL Saddlebag. This versatile saddlebag is equally at home on the handlebars up front as well as behind, attached to the saddle or one our Bagman supports.

Constructed from tough but lightweight 1000 denier Cordura, this saddlebag has 3 internal pockets and 2 external pockets making it a cinch to organise your gear. The extendable lid and rolltop closure keep the contents dry and protected. The adjustable capacity means you  can squeeze in that extra bit of kit for those longer rides. There are even D rings on the lid for lashing jackets or capes.

Generous use of reflective materials helps to keep you seen in low light, and the use of quick release buckles helps access to your contents even on the coldest of days.

On the base there is an extra patch of Cordura to protect the bag from the bike's hardest parts and also a sleeve for the Bagman Saddlebag Support to slide into to give a secure and rattle free fit.

Comes with 3 straps to attach it to the seat post and bag loops on the saddle. D rings on the back to attach an optional carry strap.

Carradice Bikepacking

  • Visibility - Bikepackers are often out early and back late when the light is not great.  It makes sense to maximise visibility with high-quality reflectives.
  • Sustainability - We like to do our bit for the planet by making bags that can, with a little care, last a lifetime.  We have also incorporated upcycled inner tubes in the bag designs to grip and protect the frame where appropriate.
  • Easy Access - A major gripe for large seatpack users, is the extra time taken to fit bags with the straps and tensioning needed.  We have developed our own bikepacking support allowing you to mount and demount our seatpack, one handed, in seconds.  It also gives a rock solid anchor point which virtually eliminates sway, even when you're out of the saddle.
  • Our bikepacking saddlebags have special sleeves on the base that fit into our Bagman racks, front and rear, to ensure a secure and sway-free fit.
  • All the bags in our Bikepacking range are hand-crafted in our factory in Nelson, Lancashire.

Cambrian saddle bag

I just received my camo Cambrian bag and I love it. Excellent quality as always. Goes perfectly with the quick release sport bar. Service was great from monika as I had issues with Royal Mail ( for the second time). Other than the delivery, which was no fault of carradice, very pleased.

Well done Carradice!

A very well made bag! Just right for my handlebars with plenty of room to carry what you need and even expands for extras. I had already purchased the front bar rack for another bag I was using but am glad I switched to the Cambrian it pairs up very nicely with the rack. Not too big plenty of room.

Review

My first Randonneuring bag and I love it. I keep seeing people struggling with their bags and avoiding situations where they could take something from their bags because it's too difficult to access. In my case, everything is right there, super easy to access. With the bagman it doesn't sway and it's super sturdy. I made the mistake of not using the bagman at first and that made a huge difference.
I'm also using a Nelson Long flap for commuting. I've been considering using the Nelson for Ultra races and Randonneuring, but so far my choice has been the Audax Neon. the 9L size also helps to not take much non-sense you will end up regretting carrying over your trip.
