A feature packed, large capacity saddle and seatpost mounted bikepacking bag with its own support rack which makes it a cinch to use and gives dependable support. Patented quick release support allows easier one handed on/off mounting of bag. Integral stainless steel support frame allows for easy on/off operation.

Rock solid support means no drooping onto the back wheel. Minimal side to side sway when out of the saddle. For heavier loads (up to 6kg) use the supplied compression strap around the saddle rails and through the tab on the underside of the bag.

Carradice Bikepacking

  • Visibility - Bike packers are often out early and back late when the light is not great.  It makes sense to maximise visibility with High-quality reflector.
  • Sustainability - We like to do our bit for the planet by making bags that can, with a little care, last a lifetime.  We have also incorporated upcycled inner tubes in the bag designs to grip and protect the frame.
  • Easy Access - A major gripe for large seatpack users, is the extra time taken to fit bags with the straps and tensioning needed.  We have developed our own bikepacking support allowing you to mount and demount the bag, one handed,  in seconds.  It also gives a rock solid anchor point which virtually eliminates sway, even when you're out of the saddle.
  • All the bags in our Bikepacking range are hand-crafted in our workshop in Nelson, Lancashire.

Want a saddle bag, but your saddle doesn't have bag loops?

  • For small bags you can use Cyclo Loops which bolt onto your seat rails.
  • Or choose the Bagman quick release clamp - which means you can take your saddlebag with you when you leave your bike.
  • Larger bags will benefit from a Bagman support - especially if you will be carrying heavy loads.

I have two of these, the yellow for road and black for off road, and they are by far the best bike packing bags I have used. Easy to attach, easy to remove. The Bracket is rock solid and is usually, depending on the saddle design, easy to fit. The bag, though not fully waterproof, has never let water in to my gear. My Alpkit Big Papa and my many others, have been mothballed since purchasing my first of these. The Carradice has no straps, fastens securely and does not sway or move even over rough terrain, great hi-viz patches for the road and a bungee on top for stuffing a jacket, etc. Simply the best.

Great bag, I’ve had no problems with the mounting system, big bike packing trip around Glentrool and it was rock solid. Easy to get on and off when you need to too.

Fantastic bag simple to fit, simple in use too.
Good capacity and folds down to required, when smaller capacity needed.
The waterproof underside works well.
The reflective bands are a good size and well placed. Toggles for clip on lights are well spaced. Even the bungee cord is perfect for lightweight needs.
It's not a heavy duty carrier but for Audaxing and multi day events it's a very versatile well balanced bag on a bike.

Used this bag for the first time last weekend. A trip to Boggle Hole Youth Hostel up in North Yorkshire. Being a Youth Hostelling trip I only needed a change of clothes and this bag has ample room for everything you need for such a trip. Some of my friends have a similar style of bag but the mounting bracket the Carradice one uses definitely sets it apart from the rest. Much easier to take on and off the bike and a lot less side to side swaying when out of the saddle than bags that only use straps. Really well made and I'm sure it will last for years and years.

I only have one very small gripe. I think the bag would benefit from a few extra loops underneath for the compression strap to pass through. There is only one and its quite far up the base of the bag. Other than that really pleased with it.
